Cooper C.A.R.E. Program Recognized as a 2026 NJBIZ Health Care Heroes Honoree

We’re proud to announce that the C.A.R.E. Program has been recognized by NJBIZ as a 2026 Health Care Heroes Honoree in the Workplace Wellness – Organization category.

This award recognizes organizations that are making meaningful contributions to the health and well-being of New Jersey’s workforce. For the C.A.R.E. Program, it reflects Cooper’s ongoing commitment to supporting the emotional well-being and professional fulfillment of the people who care for our patients every day.

Established to provide comprehensive emotional well-being support across Cooper University Health Care, the C.A.R.E. Program serves as a centralized resource for team members experiencing the challenges inherent in health care. Through services such as Resiliency in Stressful Events (RISE) sessions, well-being education, leadership consultation, and organizational partnerships, the program helps foster a culture where seeking support is encouraged and no team member has to navigate difficult experiences alone.

We also partners with leaders throughout the organization to address system-level contributors to burnout, strengthen workplace culture, and improve the experience of providing care. These efforts complement Cooper’s broader commitment to creating a healthy, resilient workforce capable of delivering exceptional care to our patients and community.

Each year, the C.A.R.E. Program directly supports more than 1,000 team members through emotional well-being services, educational programming, consultations, and peer support initiatives. Demand for these services has continued to grow as the program expands its reach across the health system.

We are honored to receive this recognition from NJBIZ and are grateful to the many team members, leaders, and partners whose collaboration has helped shape the C.A.R.E. Program. Most importantly, we thank every member of the Cooper family for the compassion, resilience, and dedication they demonstrate each day.

Together, we remain committed to caring for the people who care for others.
